Linibu-libo nga pamatan-on ang manubli sa armas ni Hannah Jay “Ka Maya” Cesista! Hustisya para sa Bilar 5!

Kabataang Makabayan-Southwest Negros
March 13, 2024

Ang Kabataang Makabayan-Southwest Negros nagahatag sang amon pinakamataas nga pagsaludo kag pagpasidungog sa mga rebolusyonaryong martir ilabi na sa pareho namon nga pamatan-on, Hannah Jay “Ka Maya” Cesista, isa ka abogada nga gindakop-patay upod nila Domingo Compoc (Ka Laser), Albert Sancho (Ka Juaning), Parlito Segovia (Ka Aldrin), kag Marlon Omosura (Ka Darwin) sa Brgy. Campagao, Bilar, Bohol sadtong Pebrero 23, 2024.

Wala huya nga ginlapas sang militar kag kapulisan ang mga kasugtanan sa Geneva Conventions kag Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL).

Justice for the Bilar 5!

Kabataang Makabayan – Negros
February 25, 2024

Kabataang Makabayan (KM)-Negros expresses its utmost rage and vehemently condemns the 47th Infantry Battalion and Bohol Provincial Police Office upon confirmation that there was no encounter last February 24 in Bilar, Bohol, but another cold-blooded massacre of captured revolutionaries. We demand justice for victims Domingo Compoc, Hannah Cesista, Parlito Historia, Marlon Omosura and Alberto Sancho.

According to recent information, the five Red fighters were captured by the AFP’s 47th IB and PNP Bohol in Sitio Matin-ao 2, Barangay Campagao, Bilar, Bohol. Thus, they should have been afforded their rights as prisoners of war as stated in the third 1949 Geneva Convention, in Additional Protocol 1 of 1977 and under the GRP-NDFP Comprehensive Agreement on  Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL). As neanderthal goons of the elite however, the AFP and PNP tussled over the reward money of Domingo Compoc and committed their business-as-usual scheme of torturing and eventually brutally killing hors de combat.

Compoc was suffering from arthritis and old age, and was stabbed to death in front of villagers. Cesista, along with Compoc and the other victims, was made to crawl in the mud until the fascists decided to kill her as well. There was no encounter to begin with, only a showcase of the wanton violent nature of the AFP and PNP against the defenseless.

The reactionary state continues their brutal streak of massacres of hors de combat and civilians in the hope to threaten the masses. We also condemn the killing of farmer Jose Caramihan in Sitio Mansulao, Barangay Pinapugasan, Escalante City last February 21. He was murdered by the 79th IB and paraded as a NPA casualty after an encounter with Red fighters. These kinds of mercenary gestures only show the people that the illusion of peace propagated by the AFP, PNP, and NTF-Elcac is ridden with blood.

Thus, like Cesista, more youth are enticed to join the NPA after being disillusioned of the pseudo-democracy indoctrinated by the ruling class in our educational system. It is not a waste for a lawyer to go to the countryside and defend the oppressed and exploited. Utter waste and garbage should be used to describe the 47th IB and the reactionary state as a whole, who are in truth the ones capitalizing upon their murders to keep up with their twisted sense of besmirching the revolution that they cannot defeat and instead always end up expanding.

The revolutionary youth of Negros have not forgotten the brutal murder of National Democratic Front consultant Ericson Acosta and peasant organizer Joseph Jimenez at the hands of the 47th IB in Barangay Camansi, Kabankalan City on November 2022. The 47th IB is also accountable for separate incidents of extrajudicial killing of farmers Jonel Bayno and Rogelio Lacton who were taken by the 47th IB from their homes and were only seen by their families as cadavers left along the road in the hinterland of Sipalay City on May 2023. This same butcher battalion massacred five hors de combat, including a pregnant woman, and a tricycle driver on September 21, 2023 at Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City.

As we pay our highest tributes to the Bilar 5, KM-Negros also vows to continue expanding and consolidating its ranks to strengthen the revolutionary movement. We take inspiration from the likes of Rachelle Mae Palang, Nikka dela Cruz, Cheene Dacalos and Hannah Cesista, and the rest of the radical and progressive youth who chose to join the armed struggle and offer the highest form of sacrifice for the interests and welfare of the exploited masses.###

On Rizal’s 162nd birth anniversary, militant youth must fight the regime’s deception and courageously raise the red flag of revolution

Kabataang Makabayan – Negros
June 19, 2023

On Jose Rizal’s 162nd birth anniversary, Marcos Jr had the gall to launch a campaign against fake news when he duplicitously gained power through disinformation and fake news peddling. If he was still alive, Rizal would strongly criticize Marcos in his writings and be red-tagged as well.

Meanwhile, here in Negros, Marcos Jr’s rabid dogs in the 94th Infantry Battalion, 303rd Infantry Brigade and 3rd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army are scurrying left and right to cover up their criminal deeds highlighted in the recent Fausto family massacre in Himamaylan City. They are so apprehensive about facing accountability that they spew lie after lie, unwittingly exposing their guilt to the public.

The Filipino people’s democratic and political rights are continuously violated under the Marcos Jr regime. There is a growing tyranny that cannot be ignored. Thus, it is necessary for the youth to aggressively lead the national democratic propaganda movement and cultural revolution.

As propaganda warriors, it is our responsibility to decisively express our stand and reflect the people’s conditions on a multitude of important issues and refute the deception peddled by the fascist dictatorship. Finally, the aim of our propaganda campaign must be to arouse, organize, and mobilize the broadest number of people against this fascist regime.

Alongside multi-sectoral issues, we must continue to protest tuition and other fees increase of private schools, budget cuts in state universities and colleges, mandatory ROTC and other neoliberal, anti-democratic and anti-student policies in the education sector. We must continue to clamor for a nationalist, scientific and mass-oriented education.

Despite the relentless attacks and efforts to silence us, the youth militantly confronted these issues with a strong force of defiance. The youth marched to the streets in droves to register an uncompromising stand of resistance. Many more are treading the righteous path of armed struggle.

Let us recognize Rizal’s martyrdom and contributions to the First Propaganda Movement and Philippine revolution by surpassing his achievements and waging a national democratic revolution under the leadership of the proletariat against the ruling class of big compradors and landlords and their master, US imperialism.

Indeed, the most effective response to the rotting semi-feudal and semi-colonial system is our ceaseless, militant and collective effort to realize the calls of the masses for genuine agrarian reform and national industrialization.

The youth played a major role in toppling the Marcos dictatorship before, and there is no doubt that the Marcos II regime will tremble in the sight of the militant youth arm in arm with the workers and peasants in the forefront of the national democratic revolution advancing the people’s war to greater heights.###

Earnest revolutionary greetings to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines celebrating its 50th founding anniversary!

Kabataang Makabayan – Negros
April 24, 2023

Fifty years is five decades of resistance for national liberation and genuine democracy. Five decades of advancing the national democratic movement and of mass struggle against the fascist dictatorship of puppet regimes from Marcos Sr. to Marcos Jr. Five decades of revolutionary alliance of mass organizations under the banner of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP)—uniting the nationalist Filipino people across multiple sectors, in different parts of the country and the world towards the new democratic revolution.

The rotten Marcos II regime has done nothing but inflict harm against the oppressed masses of Negros Island in the countryside. They have ceaselessly bombed the mountains of south central Negros, kidnapped peasant farmers, harassed women and children, and shed the blood of our people with no remorse. Marcos Jr and his cohorts plunder the people’s hard-earned money to fund the fascist Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP), continuing the legacy of his dictator father to the tyrant Rodrigo Duterte. Certainly, Marcos’ new special task force for peace in Negros is nothing but a sham. It is an instrument to further broaden their militaristic tyranny over the island. The late Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo’s death is not an issue of peace and order but is only a product of the violence, corruption and impunity that reek within the system of the reactionary government.

The only solution to these problems will be by the Filipino people, and the only just answer is revolutionary armed struggle. With the intensifying presence of the US military after the lapdog Marcos virtually surrendering the sovereignty of the Philippines to the imperialists in exchange for investments and more loans that will burden the already toiling masses. We are forced to be involved in an inter-imperialist conflict between the US and China that would put us in the crossfire of their weapons.

Every day, our obstacles steepen. Amid all these, the Filipino people, under the banner of the NDFP must unite keenly to preserve our land, our rights, and our life. Thus, Kabataang Makabayan (KM)-Negros answers to the call to cultivate the NDFP’s national democratic program and persist at every hour to arouse, organize, and mobilize our people as a people united will never be defeated. The five decades of the NDFP only proves the persisting clamor of the Filipino people for genuine change built upon the ashes of semifeudalism and semicolonialism.

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NDFP, KM-Negros also remembers the sacrifices of our comrades who led revolutionary lives but were taken from us too early. They served the people in the highest form possible. The fascist Philippine Army is mistaken that taking their lives will weaken the revolution, but in truth their death sparks more fire in the forest of the people’s war.

KM-Negros reaffirms its perpetual support to the people’s democratic revolution. We will not only pick up the threads of consolidating our members and expanding our ranks, but also untiringly commit to the revolutionary armed revolution launched in the countryside. The nationalist and democratic youth of Negros will rise up, take up arms, and join the struggle for genuine democracy and national liberation!

Long live the National Democratic Front of the Philippines! Advance the Filipino people’s democratic revolution!
